Pastor Eddie grew up on a farm in the mountains, moved to a small town near the coast, then back to a medium-sized city in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. After college, he worked in a recording studio in Sao Paulo, Brazil, enjoying more ethnic, language, and musical diversity than he had ever dreamed existed. As Senior Pastor of Pathways, he serves as our lead Elder and teaching pastor, and also oversees our staff and key administrative teams.
Rev. Dr. Williams holds a BA in Religion from Carson-Newman College, along with an MDiv with concentrations in Missions and Evangelism and Ph.D. in Christian Ethics with a minor in Preaching from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Pastor Paula and her husband, Peter, came to the church in 1996. She served in many capacities as a lay leader, including the chairman of the deacons, women's ministry leader, small group leader and the church chef before entering seminary to pursue a calling into professional full time ministry. She has served on staff as the Discipleship Pastor since 2008 and oversees the development of fully devoted Christ followers from birth through seniors.
As a multi-racial family (Greek, African-American and Ethiopian), it is important to the Moutsos family to worship in a multicultural community of faith.
Pastor Paula holds a BA in Communications from Clark-Atlanta University, completed a 3 year ACF Certified Apprenticeship Program at Westin Hotel & Resorts, and earned a Masters in Theological Studies at Bethel Seminary of the East.
Pastor Jonathan was born and raised in St. Louis, MO and, after college, proceeded to move all around the country to help next generations find and follow Jesus. He comes to Pathways with 20+ years of student ministry experience in all sorts of settings, eager to see how God will use him next! Hopefully that will involve lots of meals with all our different families and cultures, and leading our student ministries towards even more dynamic growth, all with great laughter and joy.
Rev. Jonathan Der holds dual BAs in English Literature and Religious Studies from Washington University in St. Louis, and an M.Div. from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Illinois.
Silvia joined our staff in 2017. Originally from São Paulo, Brazil, she has lived in the DC metro area since 1995. She is a passionate leader, teacher, wife, and mother of three. She holds a BA degree in Theology with concentrations in Christian Education (Faculdade Teológica Batista de São Paulo) and in Contemporary Theology (Faculdade Unida de Vitória). She loves to serve surrounded by people with diverse backgrounds, skills, and talents, and is always amazed when God puts all these puzzle pieces together to accomplish something only He can do!
Ananda was born in Rio de Janeiro, raised in Sao Paulo - Brazil, and after her degree in Brazil, she pursued her dream to study abroad, after learning English and working in Brazil for couple of years, she then, headed to Dallas Texas for graduate school that prepared her for the ministry of Multicultural worship with the desire to develop worship communities that enhance unity in diversity. Her desire is to make use of music to develop strong intercultural relationships for the unity of the Church and bring reconciliation among different cultures and peoples.
Ananda Bossois Moura holds BA in Music Education from UFSCar - Brazil, a Master of Arts in Worship Studies from Dallas Baptist University and a graduate level Certificate in Multicultural teamwork from Dallas International University. Ananda joined our staff in July 2020.
Carol Carboni grew up in the church, and from a very young age she learned to serve God alongside her parents, who are both pastors at the Church of the Nazarene in São Carlos, SP, Brasil. She began leading worship as a teenager in her local church and continues to this day. She graduated in Pedagogy from the São Paulo State University (UNESP). Carol always had the desire to deepen her knowledge in the area of ??Praise and Worship music. In 2018, God opened doors, and provided the opportunity for Carol, and her husband, Frank, and daughters, Manuela and Antonela to leave Brasil and come to Texas. The Carboni family arrived in Maryland in August 2021, at which time Carol began her internship at Pathways.
Carol graduated with a degree in Advanced studies in Worship and Pastoral ministry from Christ For The Nations Institute (CFNI), Dallas, Texas.
